REQUIREMENTS : Applicants should be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate. No experience
required. Knowledge of registry duties, practices as properly as the capability to
capture data, and function computer. Working expertise and understanding
of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
Knowledge of storage and retrieval approaches in phrases of the working environment.
Understanding of the work in registry. Planning and organization. Computer
literacy. Language. Good verbal and written conversation skills.
Interpersonal relations. Flexibility. Team work.
DUTIES : Provide registry counter services. Attend to clients. Handle telephonic and
other enquiries received. Receive and register hand delivered mail / files.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence. Receive all mails. Sort,
register and dispatch mail. Distribute notices on registry issues. Render an
effective filling and file administration service.
Opening and shut files according to report classification system. Filing / storage, tracing (electronically/ manually) and retrieval of files and files. Complete index playing cards for all
files. Operate workplace machines in relation to the registry function. Open and
maintain Franking computing device register. Frank post, report cash and update
register on every day basis. Undertake spot assessments on put up to make certain no private
post is included. Open and preserve remittance register. Record all valuable
articles as prescribed in the remittance register.
Hand grants and signs and symptoms over
remittances to finance. Send incorrect remittances lower back to sender by using registered
post and file reference range in register. Keep day by day file of range of
letters franked. Process archives for archiving and / disposal.
Electronic scanning of files. Sort and bundle archives for archives and distribution. Compile
list of files to be archived and post to the supervisor. Keep documents for
